WHAT ARE TEAMS?
Teams are basically committees, but the word "TEAM" helps create a feeling of coming together to work toward a common goal.
Teamwork is essential for a true cooperative to exist.
WHY DOES MLC HAVE TEAMS?
MLC was founded upon the idea that by supporting each other within the community, we seek to unite the homeschool body in faith, life, and learning.
We encourage parents to volunteer their skills and further our mission of broadening our childrens' horizons through a rich and varied learning experience. Our different abilities and educational backgrounds allow us to be of service to each other in so many valuable ways.
HOW IT WORKS:
One parent member from each MLC family is required to sign up for at least one TEAM for the MLC school year.
Members will be a part of their team for the entire year. The duties of each team member will be decided within their teams. We understand that some members will have different comfort levels when it comes to helping out. We encourage each member to be honest and discuss how they intend to help their team and contribute to the success of MLC for the year. We hope that each team will assign duties among its members in a way that everyone is comfortable with.
